Mozaik – Age-appropriate apartments

In addition to the sustainable “Optimum Energy” label, PKWAL has developed the exclusive “Barrier-free Living PKWAL” label for its real estate park. The aim of this concept is to create apartments that are designed to be age-appropriate – with the guiding principle “never move again”. This creates living spaces that are optimally tailored to the needs of people aged 50 and over.

Eligibility & housing concept
The offer is aimed at residents aged 50 and over who do not have children or no longer live with their children in the same household. Around a third of the 104 apartments bear this label and are reserved exclusively for this target group.

Special features & added value
✔ Common room: A specially designed common area, which is supervised for two hours a week, promotes social interaction.
✔ Age-appropriate furnishings: All apartments are designed to the highest barrier-free standards.
✔ Individual services via app: Additional services such as hot meals, laundry service or apartment cleaning can be conveniently booked via a specially developed app.

Building description

Aesthetics and practicality combined in one flat!

The 104 spacious and light-flooded 1.5 to 4.5-room flats in the Mozaik development were designed with simple, understated materials that harmoniously combine functionality and aesthetics.

Particular attention was paid to deliberately emphasising the building materials and creating an elegant, minimalist design. This approach is reflected in the targeted use of untreated elements: modern black sockets create stylish accents in the living spaces, while the stairwells are finished in raw exposed concrete. The result is a timeless and authentic ambience that combines purist elegance with urban character.
